TurnStone on GPS enabled handhelds (ACC72Pro and others) adds item location to the next level. As items are seen (either RFID or Barcode) the GPS location of the handheld mobile reader is recorded along with the item information and passed to the TurnStone Private Secure Cloud database. If an item’s last known location is present in the database, as that item is interacted with online, the TurnStone Cloud interface provides users with the ability to see where that item is on a map.

By supplying GPS information to Bins and Sites, as items are seen near to those registered locations, the item is moved from Site to Site within an organization and from Bin to Bin within a site. This automated location registration process keeps the TurnStone item database up to date and allows more efficient inventory processes and less overhead administrative operational time to be spent.
